Rare Lewis No. 3 Regulator Perpetual Calendar Clock (c. 1867–1868)
This is an example of an early American perpetual calendar clock, circa 1867–1868. It features an eight-day weight-driven movement in the “upside down” configuration with a deadbeat escapement created by Solomon C. Spring of Bristol, Connecticut, with patented Joseph Ives “rolling pinions.”

- Originality: Case, movements, dials, hands, weights, pendulum, and clock papers are original
- Condition notes: Finish on remainder of case is old but was refreshed; black flocked paper on backboard was restored; lower door was rebuilt from original and has an appropriate replacement lock; calendar door lock is original
